"If I were a flower... I would be a sunflower. To always follow the sun, turn my back to darkness, stand proud and straight even with my head full of seeds."
-Pam Stewart
We have been going through radical changes on a political, spiritual, and physical level for months. Amid so much darkness and negativity, it is difficult to see the light. It is difficult to flourish when everything around you is constantly changing, but we must remember to be like sunflowers and seek sunlight every single day.
A few days ago, I was having a bad day and my partner surprised me with sunflowers. His gesture changed my day completely. It made me smile and change my focus for a bit. So, I got dressed, did my makeup and we headed out to take photos with my beautiful sunflowers. After all, I was desperate to wear the bag, shoes, blouse, and accessories that I bought at Las Americas Premium Outlets and that I showed you in my last post. So, we headed out, and for a bit, everything seemed normal again.
A kind gesture, no matter how small it may seem to you, can completely change a person's day. I encourage you to do something nice for someone today. Remember that "a gesture" does not require buying anything. It can be a compliment, an unexpected call to someone you have not spoken to in a long time, a surprise coffee date, or simply being kind to a stranger. We are living in a world where a lot of people are carrying some kind of frustration, so being patient and kind can mean the world to them, and it can be the antidote to all the rage we have been witnessing lately.
Today I want to share my autumn-inspired casual outfit and show you the beautiful sunflowers that changed my day. By the way, I loved this blouse from the Old Navy Outlet. It was lightweight (perfect for the not-yet-fall weather) and the ruffles on the shoulders looked super cute. I recommend it 100%. It can also be dressed up by wearing a blazer or a cardigan.
